Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. The staff is friendly. The onsen is amazing.

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. We had a fantastic time at Konsano. The private Onsen and dinner in our room were some of the highlights of our trip and they were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, special mention to our room clerk Etsuko who made us tea on arrival and served our meal. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji on our first day, and the rooftop footbath was much needed after all our exploring!

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. Free station pick-up is convenient. The room and public onsen bath were very clean and with fantastic view. Sleepling in the futons on tatami was an interesting experience like in Doraemon and Chibi maruko-chan! It was comfortable, We got a very good rest. We were hosted by a lady from Vietnam, who was kind, attentive and helpful. She clearly introduced each dish during the meal and there was no problem in English communication. The food part was extremely amazing! The dinner and breakfast were very rich and delicious. We fully tasted the flavor of the ingredients and felt the chef's intention👍 This visit was perfect and I will definitely come again.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Room and hotel atmosphere was really nice. Room was spacious, and what surprised us was floor heater in the bathroom. We requested for vegetarian meal, and they provided us such an impressive meal. :)

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Matsumoto Station. Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

Located in Oshino and only 10 km from Fuji-Q Highland, 八海 木花館 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Dinner and breakfast are exceptional. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very private and secluded area which is perfect.

Located in Fujikawaguchiko and only 1.5 km from Lake Kawaguchi, Ryokan Fuji Heights provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. A hot tub is available for guests. The host was very kind. He explained to us about the place and then served us tea and cookies in the room. A traditional Japanese hospitality experience exactly as we wanted. Excellent location near 2 restaurants that we really enjoyed.

Boasting mountain views, Private Hotel Rei features accommodation with terrace, around 7.1 km from Lake Kawaguchi. Location, kindness and helpfulness of the host.

Located in Kusatsu in the Gunma region, Oyado Yukizumi provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. The breakfast was delicious. The staff brought the breakfast to our room. The hotel is across the street from the bus terminal. Lawson is next to the hotel and that makes shopping easy.

Set in Takasaki, 28 km from Usui Pass Railway Heritage Park, Ryutakuzenji 宿坊 offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a bar. We had a great time staying at Ryutakuzenji! The owner is very friendly and welcoming and provided a lot of great insights to the history of the property. This was definitely the most unique stay we had in Japan and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Mr. Tendou!
