The room was big and comfortable. There were dishes and a microwave in the kitchen. There was even a washing machine if needed in the room. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was surprisingly good. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the city centre and also the train station. Air conditioned rooms. Complete value for money. Will definitely recommend it.

There are amazing views over Pecs if , and that is a big if, the advertised views from your accommodation are real - often there is a view if you are in exactly the right room or part of the building, and if not, tough luck.
I have been there before and loved it; but the very disappointing room this time tainted the experience. So pick your place carefully - eg. don't be beguiled with stories of fabulous views over the city - check for yourself, and consider carefully if you would rather have a great view or easy and quick access to the many fantastic squares and buildings and museums etc. downtown and near downtown. There are excellent and reasonable places right downtown that will be comfortable and allow you to enjoy the city.

Pécs is a lovely place in Hungary with an expansive cultural heritage. The Cathedral, Széchenyi square and Zsolnay quarter are just a few of the must see spots. You can have very good food and wine (or beer) in Király street.
If you're feeling adventurous, Mecsek has the most amazing trails But even if you don't have whole day for hiking just make sure to visit Tettye and walk up to the observatory there.
Pécs is doable by foot most of the times, but has very accessible bus service as well. You can buy tickets on the bus with cash (forint).
Make sure to check the actual events (and book in advance) to experience the street market vibes, when all the best wineries of Hungary and traditional food stalls represent themselves.
See you in Pécs!

Pecs is a terrific little picturesque town with heaps of interesting churches, a mosque, a synagogue, museums and ancient burial sites. Most things are very close by. On Sunday everything is closed except cafes and it's like a ghost town which is good for avoiding hordes of tourists. Pecs is neat as a pin and would probably win a tidy town contest. There's plenty of food places and our favorite was the Korheli pub. I'm glad we chose to stop here for a couple of nights.

Not a crowded city, plenty of things to see.
Not a crowded city, plenty of things to see. Older waiters and cashiers don't really speak foreign languages, even basic stuff was hard to convey to them, so have that in mind. Younger ones are more fluent in that department.

Many of the sights -- the Csontvary Museum, the Cathedral, in particular, are within easy walking distance of the Fonix hotel, where I stayed. The city is the home of a university, so the streets were filled with students and other young people. My trip was a Wednesday day trip by train from Budapest, so other than the main sights and the fact that the performance in the theatre was a one-man show in Hungarian, which I do not speak, I regret not having planned another, full day. The next time I visit Hungary, I'll spend a couple of days in Pécs; for what I saw whetted my appetite for more.

It's a beautiful city, has great restaurants, and quite a few things to do.
There are good places particularly for Italian food and seafood amazingly in this very landlocked city.
Plenty of quirky places to visit such as the cat cafe and the mosque church.
The apartment was a very good place to stay in Pecs. It is close to the city centre (15 minutes walking). Everything was very clean and there was a nice kitchen, if you need to have a basic breakfast or dinner. The host was a very lovely lady, that did not speak English, but we did not have any problem in understanding each other. Parking is available on Szabadsag Utca, there are parking meters at hand (card or coins) - the price is good.
The room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The wellness facility was spacious, it included three sauna cabins, a pool that was large enough to swim a few strokes and a jacuzzi which unfortunately did not work during our stay. The hotel's location is excellent as it is situated exactly in the city center, very close to restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.
It has been a great experience. The truth is that the hostel is a classic. old building, spacious and being in it is an original experience. everything is very well organized and safe.
Very quiet in one of the most beautiful cities I've seen in Hungary. Miss Huszar has been very kind with her tips and trying hard. in helping. thank you very much💋🌹
A charming, immaculately clean, quiet, and well apportioned, modern apartment located in the heart of Pecs - just a stone's throw away from Széchenyi Square. Edina is an especially gracious and accommodating host. Her apartment will be my go-to destination for all future visits to Pecs. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fabulous apartment! It is beautiful and spacious, with everything you need to be self sustainable. It is right in the heart of Pećs, close to endless cafes and restaurants, and easy walking distance to all the tourist sights. Loved this apartment and would definitely stay again.
Nice room with small fridge. Very fast internet connection. Bus lines right next to the guesthouse. Good breakfast and the restaurant offers excellent food. Very nice staff that was really helpful. Definitely recommendable and my destination for next time in Pécs.
The hotel is located in front of the Northern wall of Pécs and close to the Kalvaria chapel. The area seems quiet and you get to the old town in 10 minutes by walk. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice and had good views of the old town.
The rooms are spacious and very comfy. And decorated quite nicely. The bed was nice and so was the badroom. Everything was very clean and this ‘hotel’ is at the edge of the centre of Pécs, in walking distance of all the highlights.
Everything was amazing, but the location was exceptional. The hotel situated at one of the best locations of Pécs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very delicious.
The apartment is very spacious for a family of four and nicely decorated. The fish pond is very pretty with water lilies. The location is quiet and close to orfu and pécs downtown.
