Sovata is simply amazing, very clean and nice mountain resort where you can enjoy nice walks in te forest around the lake and you can swim in Ursu lake as well. The salty water is good for the bones and joints. I was eating in few places but the best was restaurant Club Dracula. lovely location close to the lake with a spectacular view. I absolutely loved the food, the ambiance, the location and the service. the food was incredibly tasty and fresh. The restaurant waiters were very friendly and not pushy at all. I would definitely recommend Sovata for foreigners as they have to see the beauty of Romania and they need to try the Romanian food like sarmale, mamaliga, mici, papanasi, steak, pastrav and the famous soups. We never expected the resort to be this nice, the whole town is renovated and there are many activities to fill up you're time. Just to name a few: Mocanita Sovata - a 2h ride on a steam train, the Praid salt mine that you can visit and there are a lot of trails around the forest, one that even has a Bell Vedere tower built .BadarauNetherlands - 8.0Scored 8.0

It’s a great destination!Bear Lake was great !If you have small children and they splash a bit ,the elderly will complain and constantly roll their eyes at the kids so expect that .Other than that our stay there was great!

The breakfast was very good and rich, the spa center of the hotel was superb but you could use also the spa center of Ensana (former Danubius) Hotel if you used the underground tunnel. All in all it was a perfect stay in a perfect location, for sure we will come again.

It's really nice that each apartment in a hotel, has two bedrooms. So you can stay 3-4 person, family or friends! We arived early in a morning, and host allowed us to leave our bags near reception. The bathroom was small but nice and new. Our room had a small balcony with two chairs. The breakfast was very good with lots of options from eggs, omelet, sausages, yogurt and many more. Another good thing to mention is the underground hotel parking.
