Really nice motel across the street from the lake and easy walking distance to restaurants. We only used the kitchen space at breakfast, it seemed well equipped.

The gardens looked perfect, they are doing a great job do keep the facilities gorgeous. Tongariro alpine Crossing 50 km away, for those in for fishing Tongariro river is just behind the corner as you simply get out from the lodge there.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. Room was clean, bed comfy, shower and spa very nice. And the lady at reception was very friendly. This is how all accommodations should be.

Aura Accommodation is centrally located, 3 minutes' walk from the lake front, 4 minutes' walk from the famous Eat Streat and 9 minutes' walk from both Government Gardens and Rotorua Museum. Extremely recommended (I was in an upstairs apartment). Beautiful room, nice pools and ecofriendly. Great location. Friendliest staff ever.

The owner is very friendly, and helped us with our queries even at night. Responsive to help messages even before the trip too. The room is extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. There is even a room spa bathtub, something which many facilities do not have. The location is very near the sea, which is of a very beautiful view. It is also about 5 mins away from town which has different shops and eateries. Very convenient to get food.
