We’re from Canada and I brought my Brazilian roomie with me to visit my home country. I truly liked the hot spring and how it’s not a “too touristy” location. We were there in the holiday season but because it’s a hidden jem Ryokan, we were able to have both the “daiyokujo” and “Roten buro” all to ourselves (we did go late at night and early morning). They also have 24h ashiyu (foot hot tub) which was super awesome. I had beer while planning for the next day and just chilled there all by myself for an hr.

A simply fantastic stay. The staff are extremely polite and try their best to help you however its needed. The onsen is very private. The dinner and breakfast experiences were fantastic. the dinner service and quality rivaled the two other michelin star restaurants I ate at while in Japan. It was also very useful for them to be able to come pick us up at the ropeway/bus station as the ryokan didn't seem to be very close to any other public transportation stops.
